About music

ACU music student playing a guitar on campus

Gain a greater understanding of music literacy, history, and composition by making music the focus of your degree. You’ll explore a range of styles and genres, be introduced to a number of technologies that aid in composition and recording, learn about the cultural context of music through history, and study forms of music criticism.

Take a note

Balance the theoretical and the practical aspects of studying music. While you’re developing your knowledge of musicology, you’ll also have the opportunity to develop your skills as a songwriter, arranger and performer.
